MIST Diamond Atelier (“MIST”, “we”) designs jewellery with laboratory-grown diamonds. This policy explains what personal data our website mist-diamond.com and our iPhone app collect, why we collect it and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Account: your name, email address, language and a one-way hash of your password. If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive an identifier from them and, where you allow it, your name and a verified email address. We never see your Apple or Google password.
MIST Club: your points and their history, rewards you redeemed, your invitation code and the friends who joined with it, and purchases the atelier records for you (amount, currency, piece).
What you save and send: favourite pieces, designs saved in the studio, and requests or consultation bookings, including the contact you give (email, phone or @username), your message, budget, occasion, chosen pieces and preferred date.
Device: if you allow notifications in the app, a push token of your device.
Technical: a session cookie or token that keeps you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser, time) used for security and fault finding.
Why we use it
To run your account and sign you in; to answer your requests and arrange consultations; to keep your points, rewards and level; to send service notices you asked for; and to protect the service from abuse, such as spam and repeated login attempts. We use your data only for these purposes.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, show advertising or use advertising or analytics cookies. The site sets one cookie, the session cookie, which is strictly necessary to keep you signed in.
Who receives it
Our hosting provider stores the data on our server. Apple and Google process the sign-in if you choose them; where Google sign-in is offered, Google’s script loads on the sign-in page. If you contact us through Instagram, WhatsApp or Telegram, that service’s own policy applies. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Sessions expire after 30 days. Server logs are kept for a limited time. When you delete your account we remove your profile, points, favourites, saved designs and sign-in; requests you already sent stay with the atelier so that we can finish serving you, without a link to your account.
Your choices and rights
You can see your data in your account, delete the account in the app’s settings or by writing to us, ask us to correct your name or email, turn notifications off in iOS settings, and ask for a copy of your data. We reply within a reasonable time.
Security
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes and connections use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; access to data is limited to the atelier team.
Children
The service is not intended for people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
