Guide

Choosing well

Four short notes before you choose: the stone, the metal, the size and how to look after the piece.

01

The stone

Four things describe any diamond.

  • RoundThe most light and the classic outline.
  • OvalLengthens the finger and gives more surface.
  • PearA teardrop with a point: graceful, with movement.
  • EmeraldStep-cut planes, clean and mirror-like.
02

The metal

All MIST gold is 18 karat: 75% gold.

  • White goldBright, cool whitePlated with rhodium for a bright white. The plating wears slowly and can be renewed.
  • Yellow goldWarm, classic goldThe classic warm colour. It keeps its tone for decades.
  • Rose goldSoft pink warmthGold alloyed with copper, for a soft pink warmth.
03

The size

Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest.

54

Inner diameter
17.2 mm
Circumference
54 mm

Hold a ring you already own against the circle: its inner edge should match.

Wide bands
A wide band fits tighter. If you are between sizes, take the larger.
Bracelets and chains
Measure the wrist or neck with a soft tape and add a centimetre for comfort.
04

The care

Good jewellery lasts when it is treated simply.

  • Take it off

Before swimming, cleaning, sport and sleep.

  • Clean it

Warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft brush. Dry with a soft cloth.

  • Store it apart

Each piece in its box, so stones cannot scratch metal.

  • Check it yearly

Ask the atelier to look over claws and clasps once a year.
